Build Skills with Educational Brown Bags
The AHS Teaching Academy, the Center on Health, Aging, and Disability, and the Faculty Mentoring Program have joined
forces to present the 2009 – 2010 Educational Brown Bag Series.
This series is intended to provide faculty with a variety of practical skills in three important areas: research, teaching,
and mentoring. The sessions address a wide range of topics. Here are the sessions scheduled for fall semester:
Wednesday, September 30: Embracing diversity in the classroom: How I learned to stop worrying and teach for everyone"

Thursday October 15: Securing foundation funding
- Janelle Weatherford, Associate Director, Office of Foundation Relations
Monday, October 26: Mysteries of budget justifications unveiled
- Julie Townsend, Grants and Contract Specialist College of Applied Health Sciences
Tuesday, November 10: Online ICES
All sessions will be held from 12:00 noon–1:00 P.M. in Room 114 Huff Hall, 1206 S. Fourth Street.
